What happens in the fantasy suite doesn’t always stay in the fantasy suite.
Several contestants from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette have confessed juicy details about their time on the ABC dating series in the past. Hannah Brown, for her part, made headlines after she revealed she had sex with one of her final four during the fantasy suite dates.
“I have had sex. And honestly, Jesus still loves me. From obviously how you feel, me f–king in a windmill, you probably wanna leave,” Hannah told Luke Parker during season 15. “I f–ked in a windmill. And guess what? We did it a second time!”
Even before Hannah dropped the windmill confession, she was being slut-shamed by viewers for her behavior on the show. The former pageant queen, who is openly religious, defended herself in a lengthy Instagram post at the time.
“I refuse to not stand in the sun. I refuse to feel shame. I refuse to believe the lies and evil that flood my comments. I am standing firm in believing that maybe God wants to use a mess like me to point to His goodness and grace,” Hannah wrote in June 2019. “But dang, it’s hard. The amount of hate I and the men on this journey with me receive… it’s chilling to know so many people want to spread hurt so recklessly.”
She added, “We all fall short of the glory of God… we just happen to do it on national television. … It’s upsetting to get messages from Christians telling me I give Christians a bad name.”
Kaitlyn Bristowe, who also came under fire for having sex with a contestant before the overnight dates, was quick to come to Hannah’s defense.
“Women can have sex if they choose, and women can wait till marriage if they choose. Point is, IT’S THEIR CHOICE,” the season 11 Bachelorette tweeted at the time. “When you’re making a life altering decision to find a life partner, intimacy can be important. Why is that so hard to understand?”
Two years after her Bachelorette season, Hannah would divulge even more bedroom secrets in her 2021 memoir, God Bless This Mess: Learning to Live and Love Through Life’s Best (and Worst) Moments, including which of her suitors was better in bed: Peter Weber or winner Jed Wyatt.
In her book, the Dancing With the Stars season 28 winner also admitted that despite her best efforts to stay celibate while filming, she just couldn’t help herself. “I slept with more men in one week than I’d slept with in my entire life,” she wrote.

The Bachelorette wasn’t afraid to admit that she had done the deed during season 15. And after Hannah made her aforementioned windmill confession during a promo for an upcoming episode, fans thought she slept with frontrunner Jed Wyatt. After the episode aired in July 2019, however, viewers learned that she actually had sex with Peter Weber. After Peter’s elimination on the finale, Hannah revealed that she and Peter didn’t have sex twice in the windmill. “It was actually four times,” she revealed, with his parents proudly applauding in the audience. In her 2021 book, God Bless This Mess: Learning to Live and Love Through Life’s Best (and Worst) Moments, Hannah said her tryst with the pilot “was intimate and fun,” adding, “We promised not to tell anyone about it, because we wanted to keep it real. This wasn’t something we did for the cameras, or the show, or the fans. We both said we wanted to keep it between us.” The Alabama native admitted, “I had never slept with anybody so quickly in a relationship, ever, and the morning after my fantasy suite night with Peter I definitely felt some good-girl guilt about it.” ABC/Mark Bourdillon

Hannah spilled the tea on her former fiancĂ© Jed’s intimacy skills in her 2021 memoir, God Bless This Mess. “The sex wasn’t as good as it was with Peter,” she wrote. “He wanted to know if he was better in bed than Peter, and I lied and said ‘Yes.’ I didn’t want to bruise his ego any more than it was already bruised.” The Bachelor season 23 alum added, “He also asked me if his thing was bigger than Peter’s. Why do guys always ask that? ‘I don’t even remember.’ I told him." Broadimage/Shutterstock

The season 25 Bachelor told WSJ magazine that he didn’t have sex with his top three — Rachael Kirkconnell, Michelle Young and Bri Springs — during his 2021 season. “I can’t speak for anybody but myself, but I think the women appreciated it,” he said that May. “Because I did learn things about them that I hadn’t gathered — that I don’t think I would have learned if I hadn’t used that time to really dive deeper into something that they might not have been comfortable talking about on camera.” ABC/Billy Kidd

The pilot admitted that he was “intimate” with one of his final three — Victoria Fuller or Hannah Ann Sluss — after Madison Prewett told Peter that she couldn’t accept a proposal if he had sex with someone in the fantasy suite. “I mean, I don't know how else to do this, but I'll just be very honest and I won't give any details, but I have been intimate, and I can't lie to you about that,” Peter told Madison on the February 2020 episode after she revealed she was a virgin. "I look at us, and I think about every single moment that we've shared together and how amazing it's been, and how I 100 percent can see you and I together at the end. But I just have to be honest to you, coming into this week, I could see that with other people too, and I hate that I can say that to you, but that's the truth too.” In April 2020, Peter confessed on the “Almost Famous” podcast that if Madison was more explicit about being a virgin, he likely wouldn’t have slept with anyone in the fantasy suite. “I can say that for sure. It definitely would have had a little bit more gravity with everything,” he said. “But again, it kind of all goes back to my biggest struggle … When I was with each individual woman, I tried my best to just be so intentional with them and lost with them.” ABC/Maarten de Boer

Two years after her season of The Bachelorette wrapped, Lindsay revealed that she slept with “two out of three” of her final men. At the end of the show, she became engaged to Bryan Abasolo; Peter Kraus and Eric Bigger were the other finalists. "I was very honest with Bryan. But he knows, I was very honest in the beginning, and we weren’t together technically, right?” she said in August 2019. “It doesn’t count until you put a ring on it!” Broadimage/Shutterstock

Nick was wrapped up in sex scandals during both of his seasons of The Bachelorette. First, the “Viall Files” podcast host revealed that he and Andi Dorfman slept together during season 10. "If you weren't in love with me, I'm just not sure why, like, why you made love with me,” Nick said to Andi during the After the Final Rose special in 2014. A year later, Nick returned for season 11 and had sex with Kaitlyn Bristowe before the fantasy suite dates. Despite their sexual connection, she picked Shawn Booth in the end. The former attorney fired back at Nick’s bombshell confession in her 2016 book, It’s Not Okay, calling their sexual encounter “cringe-worthy” and “lady boner-killing.” She also claimed that he asked if she wanted to “make love or f--k” while they were getting intimate. “This is sex, dammit … kiss me, love on me, and if you can’t talk without making an utter fool of yourself, then stay silent,” Andi wrote. In the book, Andi later revealed that she was livid their After the Final Rose confrontation. “This motherf--ker! Really? You want to confirm to the world what they probably already know, which is that two consenting adults who had been dating for seven weeks spent the night together without cameras and whaddaya know, had sex?” she wrote. “Every part of me wanted to go all Georgia girl cray on his ass and fire back with some snarky response like, ‘Oh really? Is that what you’re calling it now, because I’m pretty sure you called it ‘f—king’ when you were on top of me.’” FilmMagic/Getty Images

“The off-camera time I had with Nick was so great, but I'm definitely feeling guilt,” Kaitlyn admitted after sleeping with Nick during week 6 of season 11. In the end, the former dance instructor dumped Nick during the finale and accepted a proposal from Shawn. After Kaitlyn and Shawn ended their engagement in 2018, however, the personal trainer revealed his ex’s moment with Nick was always in the back of his mind. “I had a tough time on that show. It was always a battle of my heart vs. my brain,” Shawn said on the “Almost Famous” podcast in 2019. “I think the whole Nick situation was a big part of our relationship.” Bryan Bedder/Getty Images

During season 21 of The Bachelor, Raven implied that Nick gave her her first orgasm during the fantasy suite dates. A year later, however, she claimed on “The Morning Toast” podcast that she never even slept with Nick on the show. "I will tell you this, I actually stopped Chris Harrison before I walked in [to the finale] because I was like 'I cant do it, I cannot do it,’” Raven confessed at the time, joking that she hoped her non-disclosure agreement with ABC was over. The Shop Grey Suede owner dished even more dirty details in January 2019 after meeting now-husband Adam Gottschalk on Bachelor in Paradise season 4. “When I was on [Bachelor in Paradise], he would take me into the ocean and say some dirty s--t to me," Raven told Kaitlyn about Adam on her “Off the Vine” podcast. "We get into the fantasy suite and he did the damn thing. That's when I was pretty damn sure." Gabe Ginsberg/Getty Images

Courtney made several sex confessions in her 2014 memoir, I Didn’t Come Here to Make Friends, including confirmation that she slept with Ben Flajnik during season 16. “To answer your question, yes, Ben and I did have sex in the ocean. On-camera,” she wrote. “It was immediate but it was only for about twenty seconds and, um, it was just the tip.” Courtney also revealed that she had the “best sex” with Arie Luyendyk Jr., whom she dated after her split from Ben. “Though he is an expert at lip locking, known among fans of the show as the ‘kissing bandit,’ I was getting hot and bothered and needed more. ‘Arie, I feel like I’m in high school. I can’t just keep making out with you,’” she wrote about their hookup. “He was hesitant for a millisecond, but then we headed into my childhood bedroom, into my canopy bed, for what can only be described as the best sex I’ve ever had. … Why was it so good you ask? Arie’s incredibly passionate and utilizes his entire body in his lovemaking. And he knows exactly what positions make a woman feel comfortable and satisfied.” Alberto E. Rodriguez/Getty Images

“The night that Garrett and I were together … We may have broken the bed. Sorry, mom!” Becca, who got engaged to Garrett Yrigoyen during season 14 of The Bachelorette, confessed on a reunion special in May 2019. (She and Garrett split in September 2020.) Albert L. Ortega/Getty Images
