It turns out some diamonds aren’t forever! While some Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars have been a part of the Bravo hit since season 1 (looking at you, Kyle Richards), others have exited the series and moved on.

The sixth installment in the Real Housewives franchise was announced in March 2010 and aired its first season seven months later. At the time, the series starred Kyle, Adrienne Maloof, Kim Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, Camille Grammer and Taylor Armstrong.

Over the years, the cast has seen plenty of shake-ups, most notably Vanderpump’s dramatic exit in June 2019. Us Weekly exclusively confirmed at the time that the restaurateur was not returning to the reality series after nine seasons.

“I made the decision to leave. It was a very difficult year for me, personally and professionally,” she told Us shortly after she skipped the season 9 reunion taping. “I had wonderful things happen this year, opening up TomTom and the cocktail garden in Vegas. The Housewives, it’s just, it’s emotionally too difficult to deal with.”

Speculation that Vanderpump was exiting the Bravo series began brewing in November 2018 amid rumors that she wasn’t getting along with her costars. When Denise Richards — who joined the show for season 9 in 2019 — was having trouble with Brandi Glanville and other cast members, Vanderpump showed the actress support.

“I hear Denise has been having a really rough time, and I always had a great connection with her,” the Dancing With the Stars alum told Entertainment Tonight in August 2020. “We have a lot in common, you know, in terms of having adopted children and [being] a huge dog lover. I mean, I would love to speak to her at some point. I hear that she’s had a really rough time on [the show].”

Denise’s rep confirmed the next month that she would not be returning to RHOBH for its 11th season amid her messy feud with Glanville, who claimed that the two women hooked up. The Wild Things star, however, repeatedly denied rumors that she cheated on husband Aaron Phypers. Before officially stepping away from the show, Denise hinted in an interview with The Washington Post that she was weighing her options.

“I actually had so much fun my first season, and I formed genuine friendships. This season was very different,” she said in July 2020. “But I would never say I regret anything. I just roll with the punches.”

Teddi Mellencamp

Us confirmed in September 2020 that Mellencamp, who joined the RHOBH cast in season 8 in 2017, would not be coming back for the 11th season. "Thank you to @bravotv, @evolutionusa, @bravoandy and all of the amazing women for the support (and the shade) for the past three years. Back to the shadows I go," she wrote alongside an Instagram video announcing her exit at the time, noting that her "contract as a Housewife [was] not being renewed."

Shortly before news broke of Mellencamp's step back from the reality TV spotlight, she faced backlash on social media for her All In by Teddi accountability program. Despite allegations that members were being limited to 500-1,000 calories a day, kicked out of the program for not completing at least one hour of cardio exercise a day and required to sign an NDA, Mellencamp said in September 2020 that she was "incredibly proud" of the weight loss initiative.

Mellencamp shares three children with husband Edwin Arroyave: daughter Slate, born in 2012, son Cruz, born in 2014, and daughter Dove, born in 2020.

Denise Richards

A rep for the Starship Troopers actress confirmed in September 2020 that her time on RHOBH had come to an end after two seasons. Denise played coy about her future on the show two months prior, telling The Washington Post that she would return if "it makes sense."

She explained: "I actually had so much fun my first season, and I formed genuine friendships. This season was very different, but I would never say I regret anything. I just roll with the punches."

Her exit came after she was put in the hot seat during season 10, which aired from April to September 2020. Brandi claimed that she had an affair with Denise, who consistently denied the allegations.

During the fall of 2021, news broke that Denise and Sheen’s eldest daughter, Sami, was living with him. He subsequently went to court to change their child support agreement. The twosome, who also share daughter Lola, have been at odds over coparenting, per a source.

Yolanda Hadid

Before Gigi and Bella Hadid were household names in the modeling industry, their mom was the famous face in the family. Yolanda joined the cast of RHOBH in season 3 and starred on the Bravo series for three seasons. After exiting the show in 2016, Yolanda focused on getting healthy amid her battle with Lyme disease. She went on to write a book titled Believe Me: My Battle with the Invisible Disability of Lyme Disease about her journey. Her reality TV series about the modeling world, Making a Model with Yolanda Hadid, premiered on Lifetime in January 2018. It was canceled after one season. The mother of three also made changes in her personal life. After her divorce from David Foster was finalized in October 2017, she moved on with businessman Joey Jingoli.

Yolanda confirmed in April 2020 that she was going to become a grandmother. “I'm excited to become an Oma in September especially after I lost my mom so recently,” she told Dutch publication RTL Boulevard at the time, confirming Gigi’s pregnancy. “But this is the beauty of life, one soul leaves us and a new one comes in. We feel very blessed.” Gigi welcomed her daughter, Khai, with Zayn Malik in September 2020

Kim Richards

Along with sister Kyle, Kim joined the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in season 1. She was a full-time cast member for five seasons, before switching to a guest role for seasons 6 and 7. While she did not appear in season 8, she filmed cameos for seasons 9 and 10.

Kim has continued to work on maintaining her sobriety, but faced a setback during the summer of 2019. She is also a proud grandmother to eldest daughter Brooke’s sons, Hucksley and Hunter.

Kim announced plans for a memoir in February 2020. “The Whole Truth is the harrowing, all-too-real and ultimately empowering story of a woman who has been through hell and back, endured, grew strong and learned to become her own fiercest advocate,” reads the book’s description. “The soul-baring confession of a woman revealing what it was like to be treated like a show pony as a child star, as a disposable object as a wife, a whipping post as a sister and as a tabloid commodity as a celebrity. But above all else, it is a triumphant tale of a determined woman who refused to be broken — a fierce, loving and relatable human who is strong, flawed and real.”

It’s unclear if the memoir is still in the works amid reports that it was scrapped by the publisher.

Taylor Armstrong

Another OG Beverly Hills housewife, Armstrong was a full-time Housewife from season 1 to season 3 and made guest minor appearances throughout the next three seasons. Taylor, whose husband Russell Armstrong committed suicide, found love again with attorney John Bluher, and the duo tied the knot in April 2014. She frequently shares photos of her life with Bluher and her daughter, Kennedy. Taylor also continues to raise awareness for domestic violence.

Armstrong filmed season 2 of Peacock’s the Ultimate Girls Trip alongside other former Housewives at Dorinda Medley’s Berkshires home in 2021. The season will air in 2022.

Brandi Glanville

Glanville may have briefly put her time on Bravo behind her, but she is still a reality TV staple. Since starring on RHOBH from season 2 to season 5, Glanville came in fourth on Celebrity Apprentice, appeared on Famously Single, competed on My Kitchen Rules and played Big Brother twice. (She was on the U.K. version in 2017 and later on the U.S. edition). The Brandi Glanville Unfiltered podcast host, who shares sons Mason and Jake with ex-husband Eddie Cibrian, called it quits with DJ boyfriend Donald Friese in January 2018.

After making cameos in season 6 and 9 of RHOBH, Glanville found herself back in the drama while the cast filmed season 10 in 2019. While she was not an official “friend,” Glanville made several appearances on the season to discuss her alleged hookup with Denise, which she maintained happened during a visit to her movie set in April 2019. Denise, for her part, denied her former costar's claims.

Adrienne Maloof

Maloof was a full-time RHOBH cast member from season 1 to season 3. After leaving the show, Paul Nassif filed for divorce in July 2012. The mother-of-three went on to date younger men, including Rod Stewart’s son Sean Stewart and Jacob Busch of the Anheuser-Busch beer empire. She also returned to the series for guest appearances in seasons 8 and 10.

Nassif, meanwhile, welcomed his first child with wife Brittany Pattakos in October 2020.

Carlton Gebbia

The self-proclaimed witch left the series in 2014 after only one season, but the drama in her life didn’t stop. She split from her husband David Gebbia after 18 years of marriage in August 2016 and was sued for allegedly attacking her maid in December 2017. Carlton, who shares daughters Destiny and Mysteri and son Cross with David, denied the claims made by her former maid.

Eileen Davidson

The soap opera star joined RHOBH in season 5 and stayed on the series for three seasons before announcing her departure after season 7. She made a guest appearance in a deleted scene in season 8 with Lisa Rinna and Erika Jayne and filmed another scene for season 10. She continues to star as Ashley Abbott on The Young and the Restless and returned to Days of Our Lives for a series of episodes in 2017. In 2021, she reunited with Rinna for Peacock’s Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem.

Joyce Giraud de Ohoven

Giraud started on season 4 of RHOBH before exiting the series after only one season. The two-time Miss Puerto Rico remained close with Vanderpump and made an appearance on her spinoff, Vanderpump Rules. Giraud, who has two children with husband Michael Ohoven, had few hosting gigs and a role in the film Jeepers Creepers 3.

Edwards joined the show as a full-time cast member halfway through season 6. She did not return for season 7 and remains married to her husband, former NFL player Donnie Edwards.

Lisa Vanderpump

While shooting season 9, Vanderpump stopped filming with her costars after Kyle accused her of leaking a story about Dorit Kemsley’s dog to the press. She officially quit the show in June 2019.

“I made the decision to leave,” she told Us exclusively at the time. “It was a very difficult year for me, personally and professionally. I had wonderful things happen this year, opening up TomTom and the cocktail garden in Vegas. The Housewives, it’s just, it’s emotionally too difficult to deal with.”

Vanderpump, who skipped the season 9 reunion taping, stars on and executive produces Bravo's Vanderpump Rules. In July 2020 — as four Vanderpump Rules cast members were axed for past racist behavior — the SUR owner found a home for new series Vanderpump Dogs on NBC's Peacock. After a series of delays, season 9 of Vanderpump Rules debuted on Bravo in September 2021.
